The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Course is designed to provide those who are new to the construction industry, who wish to apply for a CSCS Green Card, with the practice skills, knowledge and credentials to work safely and competently in their field.
Each year in the UK, people are killed, injured and suffer work-related illnesses while carrying out their jobs. This course includes essential health and safety information and guidelines, taking a look at UK laws and legislation, as well as the different work-related illnesses and injuries. It covers basic electric, gas and fire safety training, the types of PPE, , how to work safely with hazardous chemicals, and other key topics.
By the end of the Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction course, you will be able to accurately assess and identify onsite hazards, evaluate the safety of a workplace, and ensure full competence when carrying out high-risk tasks such as working at height. You will also be fully be equipped with the practical knowledge needed to apply for a CSCS Card and work diligently in any construction environment.
Who Should attend?:-
The Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction course is designed for those working on construction sites and is a requirement for those wishing to apply for a CSCS Green Card. In accordance with CITB anyone who is a labourer on a construction site must be a CSCS Green Card Holder.
