CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course

The CITB SSSTS is a nationally recognised qualification designed for individuals working in a supervisory role within the construction industry.

The training is delivered over two days and covers the key principles of site supervision and health and safety management. It focuses on the supervisor’s role in maintaining safe working conditions, identifying hazards, and ensuring that workers follow safe systems of work.

The course includes guidance on risk assessment, method statements, site inductions, behavioural safety, and relevant legislation. It is designed to help supervisors confidently manage day-to-day safety responsibilities on construction sites.

This course is suitable for anyone in a supervisory role within the construction industry or those preparing to take on such responsibilities. On successful completion, delegates receive an industry-recognised SSSTS certificate. The SSSTS certificate remains valid for five years. After this period, a refresher course is required to maintain certification.
