Introduction
The SVQ in Construction Site Supervision at SCQF Level 7 is a work-based qualification for people who supervise construction sites. It demonstrates that the holder has the skills and knowledge to manage site operations, coordinate teams, monitor progress, and ensure health, safety, and quality standards are maintained.
It is assessed in the workplace through practical evidence and observation, and it supports progression into senior supervisory roles.
Certification
On completion of the SVQ Construction Site Supervision at SCQF Level 7, candidates will be eligible to apply for a CSCS Gold Supervisor card. Candidates must also have an in-date CITB HS&E Touchscreen Test for Supervisors.
Timeline
SVQ’s are designed to be flexible, allowing you to progress at a speed that works best for you. The time it takes to finish will depend on your dedication and engagement. For funded SVQ’s, you are required to be registered for at least 6 months, however we will offer comprehensive support for over 12 months.
Assessment
Assessment takes place fully within the work environment, with dedicated one-on-one support from an assessor. Competence is demonstrated through on-site observation, structured professional conversations, and documented workplace materials, including method statements, risk assessments, and job records. We also work with an excellent e-portfolio, where you can upload evidence in your own time, at a time and place that suits you.
